“Learn with your body and allow it to do what comes naturally.” The body and mind must be balanced in order to perform in a way that captures the audience. My workshops will show students how to move to music with ease while allowing the body and mind to work together. Find your balanced center by integrating combinations that work the left and right sides equally. Build up speed in transition steps, hip work and layering. Learn spontaneous choreography. Learn full body movement that is balanced.
When a dancer understands her body, the audience knows that she is in a “Divine State of Being”. Or the "Quickening" as Martha Graham refers to it.
