Traveling Steps and Turns: This video is one of my favorites for the very reason that the traveling steps and turns I am going to share with you are from my own inspiration. If you are a troupe director you will love these traveling steps and turns because they were really created for troupes and duets.

The Folkloric Fan is a take off from a move I saw in Egypt but it was only done on the right side and there were no turns involved. I felt that it could really be something special if more was added and “zap” the moves came into place and the Folkloric Fan was born.

The Challenger Turns came from a dream I had and I woke up the next morning with an excitement that I hadn’t felt before. I felt the Challenger Turns were given to me directly from Divine Inspiration, a gift from the Universe so enjoy them as I share both with all of you.

I have been dancing since at least 2003/2004 and even though I became part of our Belly Dance Performance group and was brought up to the intermediate class we did not work on combinations like Leyla teaches.
